No Randomly Spinning Blades

No Randomly Spinning Blades

Our Parkland Caretaker Robots (still in the design/development phase) maintain the landscape of parkland by picking up trash. They also maintain the grass. They do not use randomly spinning metal blades to accomplish this.

Do No Harm

Instead, our Parkland Caretaker Robots trim each blade of grass individually, after first verifying that there is no wildlife in the cutting area; including insects and worms.

Our design approach is similar to that of an ink jet printer, where individual dots of ink are applied to paper to create an image. These robots use tiny scissors to trim each blade of grass individually.

Planting Grass

Our Parkland Caretaker Robots also plant grass, one seed at a time. Because they operate at the granular level, these robots have the ability to place each seed below the soil, rather than just randomly scattering them on the surface.

Again, applying a design approach that is similar to that of an ink jet printer, these robots can plant different shades of green in order to create a grass-pixels image, such as the name of a park, town, school, or a logo.

Maintaining Grass

Our Parkland Caretaker Robots also water and feed the grass. They use soil health sensors to determine where water and nutrients are required, applying only what is needed, rather than randomly spraying water and chemicals all over the place. Expensive irrigation systems are not required; no more wasting water on overspray and valve, pipe, or sprayer malfunction/damage.

Managing Weeds

Our Parkland Caretaker Robots can be directed to remove (or not remove) specific weeds. To promote floral biodiversity, they can uproot and transplant all weeds to a designated fallow area. Or they can use the removed weeds as bio-waste for an Earth Power Lodge or other composting/bio-recycling system.

For example, you could direct Parkland Caretaker Robots to leave dandelions undisturbed in specific parkland areas; or plant them in a more diffuse pattern; or plant/transplant them in the shape of some text or logo.
